Young Primary Leaders is committed to supporting schools in maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding and online safety.

Our platform has been designed specifically for use within primary schools under teacher supervision, with safeguarding principles embedded into its structure and functionality.

1. Our Safeguarding Commitment
 

We recognise that safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.

Young Primary Leaders provides a secure, controlled digital environment where pupils can develop leadership skills safely, without exposure to external risks.

The platform is designed to:

  • Protect pupil identity

  • Minimise personal data collection

  • Prevent unauthorised communication

  • Ensure teacher oversight at all times

2. Secure, Teacher Controlled Access

All pupil accounts are:

  • Created by a teacher

  • Managed by a teacher

  • Monitored via a teacher dashboard

Pupils cannot:

  • Create their own accounts

  • Message other pupils

  • Contact external users

  • Access content outside their assigned modules

Teachers retain full control over pupil access and account management.

3. No Open Communication Features

All pupil accounts are:

  • Created by a teacher

  • Managed by a teacher

  • Monitored via a teacher dashboard

Pupils cannot:

  • Create their own accounts

  • Message other pupils

  • Contact external users

  • Access content outside their assigned modules

Teachers retain full control over pupil access and account management.

4. Data Protection and Safeguarding

Young Primary Leaders does not include:

  • Public profiles

  • Chat functions

  • Comment sections

  • Peer-to-peer messaging

  • Social sharing tools

This ensures the platform remains a closed educational environment.

5. Supervised Educational Use

Young Primary Leaders is intended for use:

  • During school hours

  • As part of structured school programmes

  • Under teacher supervision or adult supervision at home.

 

Schools and parents remain responsible for supervising pupils while using the platform.

6. Reporting Concerns

If a safeguarding concern arises relating to platform content or functionality, schools should contact us immediately:

We will investigate promptly and take appropriate action.

7. Alignment with School Safeguarding Policies

Young Primary Leaders is designed to complement each school’s existing safeguarding, online safety, and acceptable use policies.

We recommend schools:

  • Include the platform within their digital learning policies

  • Ensure appropriate supervision

  • Follow their internal safeguarding procedures where necessary

We regularly review platform features to ensure:

  • Secure access controls
